2014 was a year to remember featuring nearly 40 women poets, cabaret, jazz vocalists and musicians! The weekend celebrated jazz cabaret, world jazz, latin jazz, samba, smooth jazz, traditional and straight-ahead jazz, plus our tribute to the divas!

Also in 2014, we had the inaugural Jazz Legend Award presentation to Clora Bryant. Clora Bryant was a musical pioneer and the only female trumpeter known to collaborate with Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. She played a critical role in carving a place for women instrumentalists in the male-dominated world of jazz. Bryant has had a long and remarkable career, from swinging with the Sweethearts of Rhythm to being one of the last living musicians of the Be-Bop jazz era. Clora Bryant blazed a trail for women in jazz.
